WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE COAL FACE?

Every Tuesday morning we hold our weekly "Sales Meeting" at the branch where, amongst other things, we discuss the following:

  1. Properties SOLD over the past week

  2. NEW LISTINGS about to hit the market, and

  3. ATTENDANCE at last weekend's OPEN HOMES

Feedback from each agent on these points gives us a good indication and a bit of a heads up on what's happening in the market.

Properties SOLD over the past week
More properties are selling - with some new listings selling "under the hammer" (one pre-auction). Notably, a number of contracts were written on properties that had been on the market for some time.

NEW LISTINGS about to hit the market
Our branch reflects what is being reported in the media - there is an abundance of listings on the market, with more new listings coming soon.

ATTENDANCE at OPEN HOMES
These numbers have been solid.  New listings are always the best attended. However, some properties that have been on the market for longer periods of time had good attendance at open homes last week

SUMMARY
It appears that the market is picking up.  Buyers are increasing commitment and sellers are entering into negotiations with these buyers.

We do have a number of buyers on our books and our non-franchised network of agents is definitely working to get our vendors under contract and SOLD.
