GREY LYNN DO-UP BUNGALOW SELLS "UNDER THE HAMMER" with MULTIPLE BUYERS COMPETING FOR THE KEYS

It was quite an emotional day for the Grey Lynn family who had owned and lived in this 1920s bungalow at 23 Cockburn St for some 50 years.

There was a considerable amount of competition in our auction rooms as a result of an additional 11 purchasers (on top of the listing agent's purchasers) being introduced to the property by other agents within the Barfoot & Thompson network throughout the marketing campaign.

On auction day we had:

  • 4 buyers physically in the auction room,

  • 2 buyers on the phone, and

  • 3 buyers online

The winning purchaser was introduced by an agent from our Greenlane branch and helped to take the selling price from $1,475,000 to $1,513,000.

An example of our non-franchised network of agents bringing as many buyers as possible for our wonderful vendors who really deserved to get the best.
