ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN REAL ESTATE
We stumbled across this picture on social media this week. The heading stated "Las Vegas 1947". On closer inspection it appeared that this may well be an AI generated image.
As an experiment, we asked ChatGPT to write a blurb for this weekly newsletter and asked for "specific recently sold addresses and sell prices"
Chat GPT then wrote a friendly (but quite "salesy") essay
quoting 3 recent sales in Grey Lynn, and
stating "If you’re thinking of selling or buying, now’s the time to position yourself ahead of the summer lull"
The prices did not ring any bells - upon investigation we found the prices were incorrect.
Only when questioned did Chat GPT mention that "the sell prices and addresses were fictional examples created to craft a realistic and compelling draft for your newsletter"
Although there is still time to purchase property pre Christmas, we would also question the advice to list a property this close to Christmas "ahead of the summer lull"
An interesting experiment!
Rest assured, the information contained in this newsletter each week is very much "hand written" by a real person and statistics are accurate and verified!
