WHAT'S THE NEW QUESTION AT OPEN HOMES IN 2023?
There are 4 basic questions we are asked by potential purchasers at open homes:
How much is it? (Particularly if the property is being sold by auction)
Why are they selling? (Is it because of a problem with the house/area?)
How long has it been on the market?, and
Is there much interest in the property? (this question is often asked closer to the auction date)
However, in 2023, we are hearing another very common question: "Did thepropertyflood in the Auckland Floods earlier this year?"
To this end, Auckland Council have produced a very handy "Flood Viewer" interactive mapping tool. You simply enter the address of thepropertyyou are interested in and it displays various flooding information on the land and the local area.
